Valur Vifilsson National Icelandic Record

Valur Vífilsson (driver) and Harry Hólmgeirsson (owner) have done it again lowering the Icelandic National ET record last week at the annual Sandspyrna event. Sand drags took center stage Thursday June 17th on the multi-day/ multi-sport event.

The team recently set the WSDN World Record for the AA/Dragster category at 119.28MPH in round 1 of the Icelandic sand drag series in Hafnarfjörður. They weren’t able to repeat quite the same speeds during Sandspyrna, but they did break new boundaries on the ET front walking away with the new Icelandic National ET record at a 2.975. Valur drove the procharged machine to 2.992 backup to solidify the ET record. The question now is how quick can they go and will someone step up to attempt to dethrone them?
