Track and Timing System Requirements
Track length must be 300ft (100 yards) measured from the guard beam to finish line E.T. sensor. The track must utilize a pre-stage, stage, and guard beam (located a maximum of 18 inches in front of the stage beam). Track timing system must utilize a guard beam start.
Record Requirements
All records must be backed up within 1% at the same event. Records can only be set at public events (no private Test & Tunes). Faster/ quicker runs can be used to back up a slower run even if not within 1% so long as the slower pass still beats the current record. Time slips are required to be provided for proof of records and it is recommended to have track officials and/or WSDN representatives (if present) sign the slips prior to submission. Records and their backups must be run with the same rider/driver and vehicle. Spiked or studded tire entries are prohibited from holding records.
Safety Recommendations
WSDN strongly encourages the use of all appropriate personal and vehicle safety gear (even if not required by the track) while in pursuit of records. Note that WSDN reserves the right to amend safety requirements for record pursuits at any time.
Submission and Review Period
If you feel you have broken a record, send us your time slips both of the broken record and the backup pass immediately to worldsanddragnews@gmail.com or contact us on social media. All records have a two week review period in which protests can be submitted. This review period will be from the point at which WSDN posts the record publicly on WorldSandDragNews.com and/or WSDN social media channels.
