Originally built in the birthplace of sand drag racing in Hemet, CA by Darryl and Ed Woody and was dubbed the Fuelish American. This Jeep raced many years in the Hemet Valley before being bought by Jim Depasse who continued to run it under the same the same name. On one of its trips East for Gravelrama it was sold. The body went to another car and Mike Woodrey turned the car into his Bounty Hunter 2. Mike converted the funny car to 4X4 to meet EC4WDA rules. Powered by an injected Hemi, it came out of the the Midwest region running many events in Ohio. Finally the late Ennis Thomas came to own the car, based in Georgia. He brought it to Gravelrama running big cubic inch engines. It is unknown the current state of the legendary car, but it has left a major mark in many people’s minds over the years and has inspired many in the sport today.
