Two new world records were set at what would have been a truly historic race at the Gravelrama facility. Covid-19 cancelled the 50th running of Gravelrama which would have been one of the largest events in recent years. Instead what has been dubbed Gravel-Rona gave way to a few newly filled records in the WSDN Record Books.
Chris Gerber, a local to the Ohio, area was first up in his naturally aspirated VW dragster to take the (C/D) C/Dragster spot with a 4.276/ 71.31MPH time. He expects to better that time this season.
(C/D) C/Dragster
4-cylinder engines only, maximum 35″ wide cockpit, gasoline only, naturally aspirated, no nitrous/ no forced induction
John Brown also sets the starting time to beat for (D/PM) D/Pro Modified with a 4.887/ 61.87MPH time in his inline 6 Jeep. We expect to see this lowered as Puerto Rico gets back into racing action with some new builds competing against John’s class.
(D/PM) D/Pro Modified
Unlimited motor, 4-6 cylinders only, automotive type configuration body, gasoline only, naturally aspirated, no nitrous/ no forced induction
