The 3rd race of the Mid-American Sand Drag Series began with a four hour early bird test & tune on Thursday, September 24th. During this test & tune, we saw Aaron Cline lower his UTV/SxS Track Record to a 4.099 from a 4.273! Aaron was unable to keep that lower time for the world record however and would have to try another time to repeat those numbers.
The night would end with the first Qualifying Session of A/Fuel, the Unlimited 4 & 6 Cylinder Class. Michigan’s Adam Roe would take the top spot with a 2.717.

Day 2 would begin the day with the 2nd Qualifying session of A/Fuel. California’s Greg Johnson would get an official time of 2.998 this session and get the #3 spot, while Missouri’s Terry Glasscock maintained the #2 spot with a 2.971.

Second round of Test & Tune would hit the track after A/Fuel for four hours and then we would get to the 1st Qualifying Session for Top Alcohol & Top Eliminator hitting the track, as well as the final session of A/Fuel.
Only two T/A competitors would run in the first session, with Arizona’s Jim Hammond taking the top spot with an impressive 2.461
Just under half the field would attend the first session of T/E, with Missouri’s Jeremy Click making a perfect run of 2.950 to take the undisputed #1 spot.
Texas’ Wade Schulz would take the #2 spot with a 2.955

First round of A/Fuel would see the #4 Qualifier Mike Belcher and #5 Qualifier Michigan’s Scott Gierula doing battle. Mike would get the win and go into the semi’s to face Adam Roe.
The A/Fuel Final would see the Adam Roe taking the win over Greg Johnson in a battle of two very quick turbo charged VW powered dragsters.
Two Thunder Valley locals Seth Curtis and Jamie Winsor would race each other for the 50/50 ATV’s Class, with Seth getting the win.
Wrapping up the 2nd night, we would see Oklahoma’s Danny Mathews taking the win over Ohio’s Sean Simmons in the 50/50 Cars Class.
