Growing rider and spectator interest has spawned more exciting racing in the competitive ATV/UTV motorsports world for 2018.
Listed below are ATV/UTV-only sand drag race events open to any rider who meets track safety requirements—basically helmet, goggles, long pants, shirt, shoes and a tether kill switch on your machine.
Racing is on groomed 300 foot tracks using NHRA style launch lights and computerized systems for recording Elapsed Times and speed and determining who crosses the Finish Line first. There are Classes for every level of expertise from beginner to pro, including Bracket racing, Heads-up Index racing and heads-up motor size heats. Lumber River Sand Drags. Maxton, N.C. March 28 -31; June 1 – 2; Aug. 3 – 4; Oct. 3 – 6 (Puerto Rico v USA).
Northwest’s Best. 6 race Series. Albany Sand Drags, Albany, Oregon. May – Oct. (dates TBA).
