Mighty Mouse Chevy BLazer

FEATURED FRIDAY

“Mighty Mouse” Chevy Blazer
Engine: 380 CI SBC with Buick heads built by BES Engines
Chassis: 110in all chromoly tubing built by owner Glenn Leis
Owners Glenn and Connie Leis they have been racing Mighty Mouse since 1976. As their daughters grew up, Glenn bought another blazer and passed the original one down to the girls. For many years the family raced both Mighty Mouse Blazers until the girls got older and started their own families. The girls left racing and Glenn went back down to just one Blazer. He always dreamed of being able to build a full tube chassis for Mighty Mouse and finally, this year at Gravelrama 49, it made its debut.
When Glen first started racing Mighty Mouse it weighed 5200lbs, now it weighs a trim 2800lbs with the tube chassis. His best pass so far has been a 4.12 back when then car had a little more weight on it at 3200lbs. Expect that number to drop as he gets a handle on the new chassis.
